The beautiful prince, Tamino, is saved from a terrifying killer snake by a three mysterious Ladies of the Night. When he awakens, he is greeted by a funny birdman, Papageno, who takes credit for saving him until the Three Ladies show up and ask Tamino to save the young maiden, Pamina from the evil Sarastro. Pamina's mother, Queen of the Night, arrives and inspires Tamino to find her daughter Pamina who is being held by Sarastro. A classic power struggle ensues between Sarastro and the Queen of the Night and Tamino and Papageno are caught in the middle of the journey in their attempt to free Pamina. Their journey is encountered with magical animals and some mishaps as Tamino searches for Pamina and Papageno longs for a little birdwoman for a wife.
